         Do NOT walk on floors for 8 - 10 hours after finish is applied.
Stocking feet only for 2 days following the final coat.
Definitely NO spiked high heeled shoes. They will dent the finish!!

Home Depot and local hardware stores carry felt pads with adhesive tabs to protect your floors. Use a dab of Super Glue on each pad before applying to legs of all furniture.

NO FURNITURE for 2 days after final coat.

NO AREA RUGS for at least 3 weeks after final coat.

PATIENCE: Finish will cure over a 1 - 2 month period. Tiny particles in the finish are not unusual due to the thickness of the final coat. These will dissipate in time and will gradually take on a smooth appearance. Unfortunately, hair, insects, dust, etc. are sometimes found in the finish due to our environment.

Vacuum or Swiffer your floors before mopping.

NEVER WAX FLOORS! Use a damp mop and spray with original (blue) or vinegar solution Windex OR 1 cup of white vinegar to one gallon warm water.
Lightly damp mop.

Throw rugs should be utilized in front of appliances and sink.

Hardwood floors expand in Summer and contract in Winter occasionally leaving hairline cracks. The cracks are acceptable up to l/8 of an inch. This is normal due to New York weather.

         Summer   Use dehumidifier in basement along with air conditioning.
         Winter     Use humidifier if possible

Maintenance is minimal! Floors should be buffed and re-coated when cloudiness appears in the finish. This generally will be in the high traffic areas of your home.
